Snail Darter Festival

Tennessee Brew Works, the Tennessee-based craft brewery with locations in Nashville, BNA Airport, and soon Lenoir City, will usher in spring with the inaugural Snail Darter Fest on April 25 at its new Lenoir City location, 200 East Depot Street. A portion of beer sales from this event will benefit the Kids First Child Advocacy Center (CAC) of the Ninth Judicial District serving Loudon, Meigs, Morgan and Roane Counties.

Free and open to the public, this all-day celebration will feature more than 800 pounds of fresh Gulf shrimp served with all the traditional fixings of a classic Low Country Boil. Guests can also enjoy a dynamic lineup of live music curated by the legendary Mike “Grimey” Grimes, highlighted by headliner Greasy Chicken Review.

In addition to Tennessee Brew Works’ craft beer portfolio, attendees may choose from a selection of wines, Tennessee ciders, and a limited offering of cocktails—perfect for those seeking gluten-free or beer alternatives.

Tennessee Brew Works will also be releasing several limited offering beers, including the exclusive release of the Snail Darter Amber Ale, at the festival. 

SNAIL DARTER ALE: This English-style amber ale (5.25% ABV, 30 IBUs) showcases a beautifully layered malt profile, opening with delicate aromas of apricot and plum. On the palate, those subtle fruit notes unfold into a harmonious depth of caramel and toffee, delivering a smooth, refined finish that is both balanced and inviting. 

Local businesses, including members of the Historic Downtown Lenoir City Merchants Association, will join the festivities, showcasing their vocations and wares in celebration of the city’s vibrant small-business community.

Created with the whole family in mind, Snail Darter Fest will include a dedicated “Kids Park” area complete with a bouncy house. Walk-ups are welcome throughout the day on a first-come, first-served basis, and friendly, leashed dogs are invited to join the festivities.

“We are deeply honored and excited to become part of the Lenoir City community,” said Christian Spears, Founder and President of Tennessee Brew Works. “We are very grateful for the support and partnerships extended to us. We look forward to a great festival celebrating the history of the famed Snail Darter together.”

Snail Darter Fest will take place rain or shine on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free, with ample seating available. Parking is plentiful; however, guests are encouraged to use ride-share services when possible.

Participants earn points throughout the Pro-Am season toward a championship tournament later in the year. The 2026 ISSA Great Smoky Mountain Senior Classic brings hundreds of senior softball athletes from across the country to compete for Smoky Mountain championship titles in a multi-week tournament spanning late May through early June. With more than 200 men’s and women’s teams across multiple age and skill divisions, games will be played at venues throughout the region , including Loudon Municipal Park, creating an exciting atmosphere for players, families, and fans alike.

Pool play begins as early as 8:30 a.m., with double-elimination finals and awards ceremonies rounding out each division’s schedule. Admission and parking are free, making it easy to stop by, cheer on the teams, and experience the energy of tournament play while exploring Loudon County and the surrounding communities.

This family-friendly fall event is open weekends from Friday night September 26th  – October 31st, 2025. The maze is haunted 10/17-10/19, 10/24-10/26, 10/29, 10/30 and 10/31 starting at dusk.
