Beautiful Loudon County is home to several top-rated golf courses, designed by some of the sport’s biggest names, including Greg Norman.
Nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, Tennessee National is one of East Tennessee’s premier gated waterfront golf communities. The 18-hole course, designed by Norman, has been ranked among the top 10 golf experiences in Tennessee. The 7,400-yard course, playable at all levels, features five holes playing to or from the water, gorgeous views of Watts Bar Lake and stacked so bunkers.
Tellico Village is home to three of the most beautiful and challenging championship golf courses in the Southeast – Toqua Golf Course, Tanasi Golf Course and The Links at Kahite Golf Course. All three private courses were designed by Ault, Clark & Associates, architects of some of the premier courses in the United States.
Designed by D.J. DeVictor and Peter Langham, Rarity Bay is a par-72, 18-hole scenic course that covers more than 150 acres of rolling hills and stunning views of Lake Tellico and the Great Smoky Mountain.
Landmark Golf Club at Avalon, which opened in 1997, offers some of the most spectacular countryside in East Tennessee. Designed by Joseph L. Lee, the 18-hole course covers 6,764 yards. Featuring various terrains, elevations and slopes, the course has earned a 4-star rating from Golf Digest.
Designed by Jack Nicklaus protégé Bob Cup, WindRiver Golf Course overlooks Tellico Lake with a scenic backdrop of the Great Smoke Mountains. Each hole of the par-72 course features rolling fairways and six sets of tees ranging from 4,700 yards to 7,225 yards. Wind River was recently renovated with redesigned bunkers, new tees boxes and many more improvements.
