Driving Directions

From I-75, take exit 81 (Lenoir City). Take Hwy 321 N. (toward Smoky Mountains). Travel 2.6 miles to Hwy 11 and turn right.

 

Continue West on Hwy. 11 to the 5th red light and turn left on A Street. Travel 1 block and turn left onto Depot Street. 

The Lenoir City Museum is on the right. The ruins of the old Cotton Mill are 2 blocks down on the right.

 

From the Cotton Mill Site, continue .2 miles to Grand Street and turn left. Go 1 block and turn right on Hwy 11.

Travel .9 miles on Hwy. 11 to the intersection of Hwy. 321.  Bear right onto Hwy. 321 toward Fort Loudoun Dam. 

 

Continue 5.5 miles and turn right onto Highway 95 toward Greenback.  Travel 3.5 miles to National Campground Road.

Turn right onto National Campground Road and go .6 miles to King Road. Turn left onto King Road at sign, and go .3 miles to campground.

 

Return to Hwy. 95. Turn right onto Hwy. 95 and go 4.1 Miles to Morganton Road. Turn left onto Morganton Road.

Go .2 miles to Greenback Museum & Greenback Drug Store.  Here you may want to have an old fashioned hamburger and fries at the drug store soda fountain.

 

Return onto Morganton Road (east) .2 miles and turn right onto Hwy. 95 toward Hwy. 411. Travel 2.0 miles and turn right onto Highway 411S. 

Continue on 411S 6.0 miles to a traffic light at the intersection of 411S and Citico Road/TN-360. 

 

Turn left onto Citico Road and travel 1.0 – 1.5 miles to Ft. Loudoun State Historic Area & Visitors Center.

 

After visiting the fort and museum…..

 

From Fort Loudon State Historic area entrance, turn left and travel .3 mile to the Sequoyah Museum entrance on the right.
