Driving Directions Several antique and collectible shops can be found on the Highway 11 Antique Trail, beginning in historic Lenoir City, and continuing Southwest on Highway 11W to Loudon and Sweetwater.
From I-75, take exit 81 (Lenoir City). Take Hwy. 321 N. toward the Smoky Mountains. Continue approximately 1.5 miles to historic Lenoir City.
Allen’s Antiques in historic downtown Lenoir City has everything from vintage antiques, memorabilia, and collectibles to a selection of more modern furniture and gift ideas.
Continue on Highway 11W 0.9 miles to Victoria’s Antiques (top of the hill on the left). From here it’s exactly 5.0 miles to the Fountain Square and red light in historic downtown Loudon. At the light you will see Tic-Toc Ice Cream Parlor, Mark’s Downtown Diner, and the Loudon Mercantile next door. Only ½ block straight ahead is “The General Store Antiques,” where you will find a large selection of “primitive” pieces and often specialty items such as antique baskets made by the Cherokee Indians.
Before returning to your car you may want to enjoy a meal at Mark’s Diner or perhaps backtrack just a block or two and relax/refresh at Wharf Street Coffee, Wharf Street Ice Cream, or the Carmichael Inn Restaurant (all in the restored Carmichael Inn which served as a stagecoach stop in the 19th and early 20th centuries). You will want to get back into the car and continue your journey down Hwy. 11W 0.5 miles to Sisters’ Antiques (on the right), where you will find another collection of interesting items. As you continue your journey toward the town of Sweetwater you will pass Sweetwater Valley Farm and Tennessee Cheddar (4.5 miles on the right). Although this is not an “antique” stop, you are sure to enjoy sampling the many varieties of specialty cheeses made here. After traveling another 8.0 miles you will find yourself in downtown Sweetwater and surrounded by many extraordinary antique and specialty shops, a bakery, cafés, and a tearoom. If you are visiting on Saturday or Sunday, you can also explore the Sweetwater Valley Flea Market. Continue on Hwy. 11 W 0.9 miles, turn right onto Hwy. 68 N., and go 3.8 miles to the Sweetwater Valley Flea Market. I-75 is just a short distance from the Sweetwater Valley Flea Market. |
