Driving Directions

Take exit 72, off I-75 and proceed East on Hwy 72.

 

Travel approximately 15.5 miles to the intersection at Hwy 411. Turn left on Hwy 411.

 

Travel 2.4 miles to Hwy 360 (Hardees on corner), and turn right onto Hwy 360.

 

Travel .9 miles to the Fort Loudon State Historic area entrance on the left. The fort is approximately 1 mile inside the State Historic area.

 

After visiting the fort and museum…..

 

From Fort Loudon State Historic area entrance, turn left and travel .3 mile to the Sequoyah Museum entrance on the right.

 

Now for a bite to eat….

 

From the Sequoyah Museum entrance, turn left and proceed 1.2 miles to Hwy 411.

 

Turn left and travel 2.4 miles to Hwy 72. Turn right on Hwy 72.

 

Travel 13.4 miles on Hwy 72 to the intersection at Hwy 11.

 

Turn right on Hwy 11 N, and proceed 2 miles to downtown Loudon. Turn right at the light onto Grove Street. Take the next left onto Cedar Street. Turn left on Hackberry. The Carmichael Inn and Wharf Street Coffee House are on your left. You may want to park in the Carmichael lot and walk to other shops or eateries such as Mark’s Diner, The Dwelling Place Restaurant or Goodfella’s Pizza. There also is parking on the street in downtown Loudon.

 

To return to I-75, take Hwy 11 S for 2 miles and turn right on Hwy 72.  Proceed approximately 2 miles to the I-75 ramp.
