Charlie Daniels to perform at summer concert series

Grammy Award winning star, Charlie Daniels, will be the headliner on July 14 for a fantastic summer entertainment series at the new Loudon Tate & Lyle Performing Arts Center.

Along with the Charlie Daniels Band, the line-up for the concert series includes “The Father of Bluegrass” Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder on June 18, Malibu Storm and Mikel Grubb Band on July 4, contemporary gospel stars The Crabb Family on August 13, big band sound of Swing Machine on August 20 and Salvador on August 28.

Tickets for the six-concert series package is $40 if purchased at the Loudon Parks & Recreation Department. Tickets also will be sold through Tickets Unlimited (656-4444) with a handling fee for credit and debit card payments.

Individual tickets are available beginning 10 days in advance for $10. Day of performance tickets are $20.

The summer concert series will become an annual event promoted as family entertainment. There will be festival seating—bring your own lawn chair or blanket. No coolers, alcoholic beverages or recording devices permitted.
